The material itself was bought on a roll; it’s similar to vinyl but it’s definitely not like any sticker material I’ve ever come across, though it is very durable. The stickers were cut by hand using a steel rule and a craft knife and measure 15mm, they could have been bigger but this is my preferred sticker size for a 3x3x3.
I have found that the material works best on puzzle with large pieces, as the pattern itself is relatively large. However that’s not to say it wouldn’t work on puzzles with smaller pieces.
I am happy with the results and although I like its appearance, this particular type of puzzle isn’t really that interesting to me (with regards to solving). I really made as I saw the potential in the material I came across and wanted produce something interesting with it. The creation process was however a very good sticker cutting exercise; a skill that is beneficial to anyone making their own puzzles.
